Neighbourhood Policing Team and Reporting Crime

PC Harry MacPherson and PCSO Zaheer Bulbul

At the recent Annual Parish Meeting, PCSO Zee Bulbul and Crime Prevention Officer David McFarlane addressed residents on the work of the local Neighbourhood Policing Team and shared practical advice on crime prevention.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team covering the South Cotswolds—including Fairford, Lechlade, and surrounding parishes such as Eastleach—comprises both Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs). PCSO Bulbul and PC Harry MacPherson serve as the primary points of contact for local concerns, with a strong focus on proactive crime prevention.

Residents are reminded that any crime should be reported using the appropriate channels: by calling 999 in an emergency, or 101 for non-emergencies. Reports can also be made via the Gloucestershire Constabulary website, through local officers, or anonymously via Crimestoppers. In addition, residents are encouraged to inform the Parish Council of any incidents affecting the community.

Residents are also encouraged to sign up to local community alert systems to stay informed and support neighbourhood safety.

A Parish WhatsApp group has been set up by Mouse Martin to help residents stay connected and look out for one another. The group provides a simple way to share information about suspicious activity, raise awareness quickly, and support community safety. If you would like to join, please contact Mouse on 07796 954320.
